Missing home, a little…

The evening a couple bought my evening orca scene (with lighthouse) the wife mentioned something about wanting to see a totem pole painting and that got me thinking. So, the next day I sketched out an evening scene where it would be painted only in indigo, titanium white and mars black. Hopefully I’ve been able to post the photos of it’s progression successfully so you can see it develop. As it stands this 10x14 is a concept piece which stands on its own, but has proved the idea will work for a larger piece (20x30) which someone in Victoria B.C. has expressed some interest in. My wife now wants a larger 30x60 piece for next to fireplace! On the other hand it’s given birth to a number of other sketches as well for future paintings!
