Something a little different…

Well, I’ve been on medical leave for almost 3.5 months and getting done painting done to relieve stress and thought I’d try these scenes, a 30x40 of Tofino area on Vancouver Island and one of a back alley of Rome and another of Venice at night… all three are in process of getting done. The Rome and Venice pieces are from shots I took while we were in holidays three years ago - though the Venice May be from one of wife’s… hmmmm? In any case, I love the burnt sienna underpainting/imprimatura effect with layered painting using mainly burnt sienna, mars black and white. It gives a very rich, warm effect. Well, I’m going to try to get my act together for New York ArtExpo 2020 April 23-26 and who knows?
