Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

One of the many things I love about my mentor and friend Roy is not only his generous and gentle heart, his mastery of romanticism in his painting of the Hawaiian islands, but also his amazing pencil work! And so I’ve been of late while waiting for appointments or over a beer or coffee sketching being inspired by his work.
