These watercolours were done after we got back from our sabbatical in early 2017. My father has a house in north west Belize and do we had visited for two weeks there and spent a week in Placencia as well. It was on our way to Placencia that we stopped for a bite in Hopkins Creek and alongside the beachside restaurant were a boat and a woman cleaning the beach of plastics. I thought the scene was interesting and so took a few shots and did two paintings, this one and another that I gave the original to a fundraiser and then redid but only recently got it printed (Belize 2) and will be in the gallery in St. Augustine. Wonderful memories of Belize! Incredible place with beautiful people!
